steam vs 3ds version
I just finished the mega man 1 in the 3ds version. However I had a lot of fps drop and small picture glitch. Getting to annoy in some parts.

Does this occur with the steam version? or is it something isolated from the 3ds version

who can share
tks a lot

It depends on what you mean by "fps drop" and where you are seeing it. The original games played on the NES hardware do have many moments of slowdown, and Legacy Collection is meant to accurately reflect that fact.

What do you mean by "small picture glitch"?

yes, what is an idea is to emulate the NES. But it's very slow at times, like iceman. it is difficult to keep time to jump, because every time the speed of the game changes. Is that the way NES and steam?

as for the glitch, as I'll explain ... kind of a blink of a few characters sometimes.

I had never played, I did not have the NES :(, I found a great game and very difficult.

I'm not too familiar with the MM1 differences across the 3DS & PC versions, but I can tell you that MM5 on the 3DS is laggy as hell. It does however get fixed when switch from Mega Man 5 to Rockman 5 though...

Yeah, that's intended in both the 3DS version and the Steam version. This Legacy Collection was meant to emulate the full NES experience, which means all the glitches, bugs, and fps issues that one would regularly experience with playing it on an actual NES.

I can't really say for sure without you making a video of it. But yes, like I said, slowdown is a normal thing at certain points for the NES. It's especially awful and plentiful in Megaman 3.

I haven't played the 3DS version, so I can't say for sure whether the things you are experiencing are accurate or bugs. Like RollCaskett said above, there was indeed a problem with Megaman 5 being inaccurately laggy on the 3DS version.

You could buy the Steam version to compare it and then refund it if it ends up being exactly the same. Steam will refund any game as long as you don't play it for two hours or more or own it for two weeks or longer.

If you are talking about sprite flickering, then hell yes that's normal. That's soooo NES.

wtf.

I played as Megaman, I'm going to move to Rockman and see if anything changes.

our if it really was had this slowdown in the NES.

at certain points it's really annoying, but I'll do what you suggested.

I'll get the steam to play the MM1 and I'll come back here to say if it's the same.

tks a lot to everyone

I just finished the MM1 steam version. This version is much better than 3ds, the slowness is not even 50% of 3ds and all other problems are practically zero if you compare the two versions.

was feeling a response delay in the controls of the 3ds version and playing on the steam really proved itself. is practically another game the version of steam, you can not even say that the two versions are the same game.

my 3ds is the old one, this may explain but it does not justify. I do not have a new 3ds to test, if anyone has and can say thank you.

Anyway, thank you all for the help.

The 3DS version is very messy, you are better playing the Virtual Console versions, or using the homebrew way.....

Maybe it used to when it first launched, or maybe your TV/monitor/setup sucks, but I get no noticable input lag in the Steam version. I'm still able to do my no-damage, buster-only runs the same as always. If there is any additional input lag, then it's very, very slight.

please

Input lag was mostly fixed with a patch "shortly" after release and if you turn down Vsync Input lag becomes less then 5 frames /not noticable anymore
