Patch notes for Interstellar Rift BETA EXPERIMENTAL e0.2.1.10
FUNCTIONALITIES

- new Focusing Crystals, which are used in the station shield, and crafted in the 3D printer. (Tier 1 was already in the previous update, but has been updated)
  • Focusing Crystal Tier 1, lasts for 24 hours, recipe; 50 Carbon, 6 Deuterium (Tool ID: 45)
  • Focusing Crystal Tier 2, lasts for 48 hours, recipe; 50 Carbon, 50 Vectronium (Tool ID: 46)
  • Focusing Crystal Tier 3, lasts for 96 hours, recipe; 50 Carbon, 10 Quartz (Tool ID: 47)
GRAPHICS

- signatures now have an accuracy label

BALANCE

- Cloaking Activation timer is now 30 seconds (was 5)

- Gas Clouds now have a greatly increased volume (factor 10), and are more persistant to off set their reduced spawn amounts, as you now have to use the signatures to find one

BUG FIXES

- fixed bug where a single ship could have multiple warp signatures

- fixed resource spawning on trade ships (Fuel Trader and Traveling Emporium would not spawn resources to loot)

- fixed bug where some devices like the strip miner would not break cloaking

- fixed a ramscoop bug where it crashed the game

- fixed a bug where the station shield and the cloaking device could be used in warp

- fixed bug where signature labels would remain visible if the target was within range of its default hud icon being visible

- fixed a bug where the faction select window would still accept input while invisible

NOTES

- to enable the experimental branch, right click on Interstellar Rift in Steam, go to the beta tab, and select the "experimental IR beta patches" option

- please note that galaxy files opened in the experimental build, may turn out broken in the regular build. It is recommended to start a new save file when trying the experimental build

Skrill detection range with sensors online isn't working properly, they only show up on the HUD at 4km (aggro range). Once they've been detected however going out of their range and back toward works normally at ~9km.

Skrill icons don't resize over distance.

More of a suggestion - instead of station shield deactivating on warp, have the ship be unable to warp with shield active, and give a warning. More likely to accidentally click warp when in cockpit (for whatever reason) than to suddenly need to warp while the shield is active.
