IR not using good graphics card.
Hey everyone! I really hope someone will be able to give me a hand here. I bought this game a little while ago and have been trying to play it, but unfortunately a lack in fps and an inability to load in the world fast enough makes it pretty unplayable. I definitely have the parts. Im running a Nvidia GTX 1060 with 16 GBs of RAM. I also have an intel 630 internal gpu. I try to add the right .exe file in graphics settings to make the program run with the good gpu, which I think will do the trick, but for some reason the game doesn't use imthe right graphics card. All of my graphics drivers are up to date. Someone please help me!

You have to install the 1060, not running around with it...

How do I go about installing a 1060? It's definitely physically and software-wise installed... Do I have to install it to the program itself? If so... How do I do that? XD

I got a 1060 6Gb and 16Gb of RAM and along with the iGPU which is a intel UHD 630. so my setup is somewhat similar to yours. ISR should run just fine. I say should, becuase after last update ISR stops responding on the inital load screen. do you have the nviddia control panel installed from the wwindows store?

Hey! It's great to meet a spec brother! I'm trying to find a solution. When it crashes, it says in a game generated error message that my 630 graphics card isn't enough. That makes sense because its really not a good graphics processor, but for some reason the game doesn't even recognize that I have a great GPU to be using.
Chris Solomon Jan 6, 2021 @ 11:48pm
yeah, intel GPU's have always sucked. they can't make even a halfway decent GPU, even when they try to.

try going too settings>system>display>graphics settings add the executable for ISR to the list and specify for the entry that the game be launched with the "high perfromance graphics"

just checked my settings and looks like i have an entry for the game i added myself back when i first got the game. could be why i haven't had seen you issue - OR - i did have that issue but knew how to solve it, and just for forgot about it.....

Oh boy, I'll give it a go.
Thank you for the suggestion!
The game still recognizes my other GPU unfortunately :(
Chris Solomon Jan 7, 2021 @ 5:33pm
so adding isr to the list and configuring the entry so that the entry is set to use the 1060 card did not fix the issue?

Right
Chris Solomon Jan 7, 2021 @ 5:37pm
just making sure, but you have the 1060 6gb model, not an earlier version right?

the 6gb version can do some stuff that earlier version cannot like RTX.

not sure if i am reading this right, but your 1060 has only 1Mb of memory? that could be the cause. if you are supposed to have more than that, then your card may have an issue, or you may have managed to get a hold of one of the 'fake' nvidia cards that are floating around out there in the world. this also could be the cause.

if your system is only detecting 1mb of memory on your 1060, then it is going to default to the adapter with more memory, in this case it is your iGPU

i notice that both our info says our 1060's have only 1mb of memory. I know i have 6Gb's working memory because i have done some RTX stuff so i will ignore that part of the equation for the time being. it still could be a hardware issue though

looks like you have a intel 630 iGPU not a UHD 630 like I have. the CPU could also be a factor here. I have an 8th gen i7-8750H. what about you? an older iGPU might not give up control to a dedicated card as easily as a newer one does
