READ THIS BEFORE POSTING: Reporting a bug or crash

When reporting a bug or crash please help us by following the directions below.

• Use a title that describes what happened and in what context.
  
• Describe the problem, what you did, what happened, and what you expected to happen.
  
• Include steps to reproduce the bug if known.
  
• Include a log file uploaded to Pastebin[www.pastebin.com] (or similar), even if you think it's not necessary.
  
• When reporting a crash please include the generated dump file by uploading it to a file sharing service like Google Drive or WeTransfer.

Log file location

The log file is located at:

%APPDATA%\InterstellarRift\Logs\RollingFileLog.txt

You can reach this location by typing the part without the filename in the Explorer address bar or in the run window (which can be reached by pressing WIN + R).

Dump files location

Dump files are located in:

%APPDATA%\InterstellarRift\Dumps

When reporting a crash please include the dump file with a timestamp close to when you crashed.

Resolution / screen issues

If you accidentally change your resolution to a setting thats larger than what your screen supports, you can delete or manually edit the games config file to fix it. The config file is located at:

%APPDATA%\InterstellarRift\Config.json

When manually editing it the following values are important:

"ScreenWidth": 1280,
"ScreenHeight": 720,
"Fullscreen": false,

They are most likely the first three values in the config file. When these steps don't resolve your issue, please report it.
