No power to weapons?
So I come out of hyperspace, go in for the attack and my weapons won't fire and I did "activate" them but I just get the error message "No enough power" or something like that. Is there somewhere I need to allocate more power to the weapons or do I have to wait for a while for my weapons to charge after leaving hyperspace? Whats the deal? or is it just a bug?

You just have to make sure the weapons are connected to a power source, that's it. Check if you accidentally made a different power group with just the weapons in it

Hi - I didn't build the ship It was the starter ship that you can buy from the security station.

I made a testbed server/save and had a look at the Peregrine. I took it for a testflight and looked at the power usage inflight. Turns out the power group for weapons is set up in a way that you're losing power as long as the weapons are online. It runs on a few solar panels hooked up to a power cell and a battery, but you'll eventually deplete the 14.4 million unit battery, if you keep your weapons online nonstop.

The engines are on a different powergroup and powered by generators so you can still warp and fly just fine, but if your weapons have been online nonstop and the battery is depleted, then what you experienced is exactly what will happen. Tested it myself, working as intended.

My suggestion? Remove the battery and add enough solar panels to the weapons powergroup so that you can always keep your weapons online without losing power.

Or option #2; remove all your powergroups and make sure you have enough power to run the entire ship nonstop from generators and solar panels.

Edit: You'll also notice that if you try to fly high warp, you'll suddenly drop in warp speed because your power has ran out. The ship doesn't have enough generators for high warp, simply put.

So what If i keep my weapons turned off most of the time and only activate them when I need them? does that work?

Yeah that'll work, just keep an eye on how much battery power you have left.
