How on earth do you travel to other star systems?
I can see them in the holotable map, but i cant actually target another star and manually go there with warp 9 or whatever. So. How is it done? Considering most missions are to other star systems, its kinda a crucial thing to know. But is never once explained anywhere.
Thanks

you travel to other star systems through rifts. these rifts can ocasionally be found in the wild but to create them yourself you'll need to go to a rift hub. The hadron system (the starting system) has one. onboard you'll find the rift generator. you will need to buy or make your own rift fuel for it though. you can buy any of the 3 variants of xanthium at the rifthub itself at the hydropex booth. with this fuel you can create a rift with the rift generator.

Make sure you set the generator to the same or higher mass than your ship so that your ship can move through it without collapsing it. not every system has a rift generator. therefore you can also make a rift generator onboard your own ship and create rifts where ever you like. or you can set the rift to a higher mass so that you can go through it in both directions. rifts do decay however.

i hope that helps

Oh, rift hub. Thanks :)
I didnt spend the time travelling there despite its suggestive name, because i figured it might just be another faction hub called "Rift"
