Game won't launch

After the update this afternoon, I have not been able to launch the game. I was able to play fine the past couple days, but now when I launch, it says I'm playing interstellar rift, then goes back to online without launching the game. I have tried uninstalling, deleting folders, and changing drives and nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Comp Specs:
Geforce GTX 1070
Intel i7 6700
8 GB RAM
stored on a 500 GB SSD

Can you upload your log file? AppData\Roaming\InterstellarRift\Logs\RollingFileLog.txt

I would, but I'm assuming that since I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that the game won't launch, I don't have a log folder, so I'm not sure what to send.

It should have something in the Log if the game is at least doing something. If that file is indeed blank, go to Steam Properties of IsR, and add -console to the launch options. When you start IsR, a second window that looks like a command box should open as well, see if you can get a screen shot of that window.

Seeing as it doesn't even get to the logging stage, could you check if there is a file called MiniDump.dmp in the AppData/Roaming\InterstellarRift folder? If so, we would like to have that file so we can better see what's going on.

In the mean time, you try and delete config.json and server.json from the AppData/Roaming\InterstellarRift folder and see if that fixes it.

I can also recommend you re-install the correct .Net and VC Redist packages for Interstellar Rift.
There may have been some corruption in there. The correct installers can be found in the Steam install folder (default: Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Interstellar Rift) in the _CommonRedist folder.

I have to leave for work, but in the short time I had to check, I don't have a minidump.dmp in the folder, and I tried updating the .net and vc redist packages yesterday with no luck, I also can't seem to find the config.json and server.json files, though I'm not sure where they are located. The only things stored in the main Intersteller rift folder that I have are _CommonRedist, Build, Content, framework, and steam_shader_cache
