Pillars are hard in climat, very depressing and dark, and II part is suddenly more collorful and alive so thats why we all feel its kinda creepy to play I -> II as a one single story.
yet Tyrany 1 -> 2 would be very hard to make also as you just finish with same product like baldur 1 -> 2, for fans great, for new people just copy&paste spagetti storyline
Playerss who enjoyed Tyranny 1 would want an extension of the investment the developerss managed to engage us with, while new players would still be surprised by Tyranny's relatively unique setting. I don't agree with your statement here.
I'm not angry at the devs or any publisher myself, they make what they want to (or the market wants) to make. I'm just sad that there's another game that I really wanted a sequel to and kind of hoped making this random thread would have someone pop out and say "Hey actually T2 might be real!" But that didn't even happen :c
Another game I really want a sequel to is Xenoblade X, which while it completed the overall plot of the game it created twice as many questions in the process, all of which completely unanswered.
Numbers are the problem. Tyranny is still like u said unique game with unique gamestyle/play (and I am still holding my statement that second part might be one sided for people who already liked 2) and because of smaller amount of user then e.g. Pillars - they decided to put money somewhere esle :(
I wonder if on steam there are any obsydian comunity and they even watch some threads?
I would pick Tyranny 10 times over, just for the world and setting.
