Nice to know
In both cases I let Verse decide. She killed Krokus and was upset about the girl afterwards. Barik had a chat with my character telling me he is concerned about Verse turning to the worst Scarlet Chorus had to offer. He skirmed when I let Verse deal with Essa, but Verse soared Essa. We did not go see Kyros the Overpig. Her quest continued in Act 3 with her expressing more concerns. that's as far as I got.
I didn't have Barik with me, swapped him out for Verse, just for that quest. That's a nice bit I missed out.
Apparently, despite his Nordic snootiness, he really cares about his little sis. It's endearing.
"he killed the merchant he was guarding, and spared/drugged his daughter. He is an expert lying son of a... and probably successfully baited many players to spare him. I wish I could give him to Nerat."
1. kill the mofo
2. talk to the wife

just talk to krokus. it becomes readily apparent you have new choices of questions to ask him, each of which he OBVIOUSLY lies about with his responses. I mean, verse even makes a joke about it it's so bad. that only happens if you check the cart out first. otherwise, it is just flavour text. it does not change your choices as to what to do with krokus and the girl in the end, it just becomes extremely obvious he is a lying sack of crap. If it isn't obvious by then, I'd have to say you must have voted for Trump.
