Second, I did not think the end was rushed or unexpected. After having been on every part of the world map and conquered the Tiers, it was quite logical to see an end. It is a bit like "Star Wars IV", it has a true ending in itself, but leaves room for a continuation, which I personally hope to see.
I became new Overlord, all my companions liked me and started good careers at my side, only the beat-woman and the assasin (forgot her game), walked away in the end, since I never took them along. I played as good and moral as I could. I could not safe all regions and people, many just rather died than bow to my mercy, which was a bit sad. But overall it made sense, given the evil Overlord Kyros had wreacked so much havoc to the lands. I only had hoped I would be able to heal the lands a bit more.
So I was all happy how it went.
Also Bastard Tier was a huge letdown to me...I was actually expecting a major hub where you can explore an urban area despite it was partly destroyed by Tunon.
Other then that, it is definitely worth my money considering the abundance of choices.
I went solo as well and got happy endings for everything except Lethian's Crossing which is weird since I wiped out the Banes already. They tried to blame me for stealing the helmet, it was clearly the Bronze Brotherhood that did the deed...
You needed to snap Barik out of his sadness to get his happy ending, he ended up fighting for me even after Ashe died. These are my endings concerning playable characters, granted I sided with Disfavored until they decided to kill more than they should at Stalwart.
Verse - Started her own "personal army" and hired by me. (4/3)
Barik - After mourning for Ashe, he rejoined my ranks (3/4)
Eb - Stayed with me, but also started a school for Tide mages (4/0)
Lantry - Continued to chronicle my legacy (4/0)
Kill - Did as she said, hunted Disfavored (3/3)
Sirin - Became a happy song bird and spreads happiness to her previous victims (3/0)
So my standings weren't fantastic. My party members spoke in my defense as well (Verse, Lantry and Sirin) I really wish I could've had Eb in the party as well, didn't care for Kill and Barik though...
