convincing Myrek in Deserter's March (mayby minor spoilers)
in Deserter's March you can meet Locke and Myrek who are arguing with each other.
you can try and start convincing Myrek to change sites but failing will result in him attackin you and Locke.
if you are bad, it says he is not convinced at all.
if you are better,it says that Myrek is kind of unsure but he will still attack you.
So my question is. is there are way to convince Myrek completly without a fight? cause i seem to miss something.

To convince Myrek, the PC must have talked to the NPCs at Twin Rivers before talking to him, and must be on the Rebel path. If you're not a Rebel, you will be unable to tell Myrek about Twin Rivers and thus can never convince him.

That restriction doesn't really make logical sense, but I guess the developers wanted to have a battle there for the other paths.

Strange. I had no trouble convincing him.

Did you go off to Deserter's March first, or did you go to the Twin Rivers?

I went Twin Rivers and had some extra ammo to bring up with Maryk.

Deserters's March was my first choice. Thanks for the tip. will try twin Rivers then and come back for Maryk Later.

How I did it was to make Myrek unsure, THEN talk to Locke and get Locke to finish convincing Myrek.

Tried going to Twin Rivers first, did anything there but i did not get any new dialog with Myrek.
also tried to talk to Myrek first. nothing changed. i kind of seem to miss something.
i had one Lore option that made him unsure from the beginning but thats all.

Same here, he always challenges me no matter what I say

make sure you speak to welby at twin rivers, and make sure you start myreks conversation with option 3:"how can you"...etc. if you start with any other interaction, that option wont appear later in the conversation adn youll be permanently locked out of convincing him. i think it also helps if you threaten him with Athletics challenge (not the Athletics:attack option) about R's whereabouts, but then take option after, starting with:"Interesting...".

While i wonder why an old post of mine got Necro'd i still want to thank you for clearing that up.
Hopefully this will help others who also wonder why the convincig doesn't work.
Also yes, it really did not make much sense to me either that it only worked when i was on the rebel path.
