Did you go off to Deserter's March first, or did you go to the Twin Rivers?
I went Twin Rivers and had some extra ammo to bring up with Maryk.
also tried to talk to Myrek first. nothing changed. i kind of seem to miss something.
i had one Lore option that made him unsure from the beginning but thats all.
To convince Myrek, the PC must have talked to the NPCs at Twin Rivers before talking to him, and must be on the Rebel path. If you're not a Rebel, you will be unable to tell Myrek about Twin Rivers and thus can never convince him.
That restriction doesn't really make logical sense, but I guess the developers wanted to have a battle there for the other paths.
While i wonder why an old post of mine got Necro'd i still want to thank you for clearing that up.
Hopefully this will help others who also wonder why the convincig doesn't work.
Also yes, it really did not make much sense to me either that it only worked when i was on the rebel path.
