Indeed. You play an egalitarian faction and you crush sexist bigots who thinks women are superior. What is not to like?
So? Having a huge, disproportionate number of males would be alright?
So?
So? Btw, not true - but even if they are portrayed like that question stands "so?"
If every nation is a patriarchy, that wouldn't be an issue?
First of all, you are not a representative of what "young men" want. I am not sure when I gave you permission to talk on my behalf, anywayZ. Second of all, you are acting like this because you feel that fighting women is dishonorable. Why would *anyone* want to fight worthless opponents?
Feeling bad in a surrounding you are not used to, eh? Do you, gasp* feel gasp* as an oppressed gender in Tyranny? We wouldn't want someone like you to feel like that, god forbid.
The point you are making is very clear to anyone who wants to see. You are a chauvinist that regards women as weaker gender, and like you said "there is no honor in it", not to mention that even word WARRIOR is put under quotes. I, on the other hand, have no issues with playing a game where women rule supreme and to kill pixels - no matter their "race" or "gender" because I can understand that my opponents' strengths and weaknesses are not tied to their species or with what they have in pants. I also have no issues playing a game where I can be in a situation to be bested by, for you, lesser, worthless opponents.
Lemme tell you something, perhaps it will dawn on you /but I won't hold my breath/ - mate, and now stay with me, YOU ARE SJW here. You are having issues that you are put in the world where you are the oppressed gender. You are having issues that you cannot get used to the role of being regarded as not important in grand picture. You, literally, have problem with FANTASY setting that is not REAL enough to look like the setting you are used to - and that setting would be where men are the strongest with occasional "error in universe" woman that has risen to the stature of being equal to men.
Long story short - there are a lot of games where you can live your fantasy of a strong, masculine, role-model alpha-male. Maybe, just maybe, you could, you know, go away?
I fail to see why the gender of the charecters matters in this case.
This post has alot of benevolent sexism in it, meaning you are putting women on a pedastle of virtue by saying that you feel bad about fighting them.
Your prefernce however, seems to be all the men in the world do the important fighting and leading while the women do what? Be in inn/shop keeper?
Women. Can't. Be. Foot. Soldiers.
Granted, Tiers is desperate and I'd get rebels conscripting women. They ran out of men already, after all. But why would Northern Empire send it's females to the front lines when they should be giving birth to next generation of warriors, traders, and Archons? That's most important reason why you don't conscript women.
Secondary: Strength/Endurance. Soldiering life is about marching a lot while carrying a lot, and sometimes fighting.
Tetriary: Add a woman to a male group and instead of a squad you get a bunch of dudes fighting over a girl. U.S conducted some tests and found out that mixed gender squads have cohesion rating below 50%. For comparison, a disciplined Marine squad is close to unity, while a lynch mob is estimated to have cohesion of roughly 60%. You heard that right - a lynch mob is more coherent and reasonable than a squad with a woman in it.
I'm positive your a troll just starting trouble, so keep trying I'm sure someone will bite.
An overwhelming part of officers or just "persons of importance" is female.
I perfectly understand this for the Tiers, they are matriarchy after all. But it is told on more than one occasion that in Kyros' empire men and women are equal in everything - nonetheless it seems that for the most part women occupy the leading roles in Kyros' armies (Disfavoured and Scarlet Chorus).
When suddenly in the middle of the game characters started speaking of Kyros as "her", I couldn't help myself but think: "Okay, now the evil overlord everyone regarded to as male suddenly is female - I got it Obsidian, women are strong and independet and leaders and commanders don't need to be men, please stop forcing it down my throat!"
Interestingly all but one of the archons are male. The only female one is a 15 year old girl. :/
It's almost like everywhere in this world women are in charge, but most of the really important people the player really can interact with and talk with them about their backstory in great detail are male.
Seems to me Obsidian was like "Yeah, let's show everyone we support strong women by putting them in charge in our world - but not characters you actually talk to too much, we don't really know how to portray them in depth."
Has anyone complained about Lara Croft being female, running around and being a hero and doing soldier ♥♥♥♥ and climbing?
Has anyone complained about Aribeth being a Paladin and leader in NWN?
In most of the games you can choose the gender of your hero in in no game I have played there where penalties or buffs of any kind because of this.
The games I play and love always had this element in them and I dont want them to change this?
Why should they? Just because OP wants more fing D.I.C.K.S in his game?
Insecure much?
This has been practice in gaming and fantasy for 20 years now and if you dont like it, then go home and write your own D.I.C.K flooded computer game.
Isn't a major theme in this game that Tunon, and Kyros' laws are not fair and are used to actively administer evil in the guise of lawfulness.
For example, when the Fatebinder killed two Scarlet Chorus who are raping a recruit if you support her it Tunon mad at you, while if you punish the fatebinder that makes Tunon happy.
Thanks.
This is a fantasy setting like any other game. It is the same as "feminists" *under quotes because that's not feminism* having issues that there are prostitutes in GTA that you can have for money and treat as worthless. NEWSFLASH - it is a game that represents what is actually happening in real life. And those same "justice warriors" have no issue with three protagonists /Trevor in particular/ going on killing sprees entire game and they are all... males.
So, I will repeat myself - this is a F-A-N-T-A-S-Y and as in every fantasy, rules are what the one writing the settings wishes them to be. In one of the DnD campaigns I played - we stumbled in Underdark where Dark Elves rule. For those not familiar - Dark Elves are matriarchal society where men are literally seen as worthless as Lloth /Lolth/ prefers women over men. My party had issues on each and every step as they are all male characters. I had to put an illusion spell over myself *luckily I am master illusionist wizard* to camouflage myself to look and sound like a woman. It went well until I talked about myself using male pronounce. Had to use phantasmal killer spell on a few drows after.
Long story short - if Op wishes to have his privileges back, perhaps he should turn off computer and go outside.
