Training Grounds - Safe for Stash/Storage ?

Hi all,
Can anyone (or devs) confirm that the storage boxes in the Training Ground Spire Upgrade are "safe" and items will not disappear over time?
I want to store stuff here as I like to keep my party stash as neat and clear as possible, but if a heap of orange+ quality items went missing I'd be kicking myself.

it's a good question, as I think most have not really tested this because they don't care about having their stash full of junk, or they simply sell off everything they aren't using.

Yeah, I just sell anything i'm not using. I think I held onto like 4 items throughout the game because they were pretty.

tried it out. over 3 days and 7 loading screens, the items still are in the spire bench.
Going to see what happens in a few weeks.
