enemy targets him 100% of time after any buff or heal. So 3-5 melee guys rush to him and starts to hit him.
But they fail. Under defence buffs he stands firm. Than you start to cast healing spells of which he has 3-4 + potions. He stands there and just lives and even casts some dmg spells in process.
At this point your party killed all archers and mages whih were left alone. Only melee useless tanks remain. You just finish them off while he still tanks.
If anythin Barik is uselss. No one targets him and his taunt is not 100% and short. He has no active skills to use and no real dmg. What the point if enemy can disengage him and lose almost no hp?
I'm talking about the actual character of Lantry.
I wish I could execute the snivling waste of breathable air once I've learned heal core from him.
He is this game's Imoen, for me.
"Heya!"
/stab ... /stabstabstabstabstabbystabstab ... /stab
Yet another reason to like him.
His ingratiations are infuriating. He bent his knee faster than the fool, Graven Ashe.
There is no place in my world for such weak willed decrepitude.
***You've Been Warned***
Lantry is helpful lore wise, especially if you did your conquest in the Vellum Citadel. He makes getting the *ancient knowledge* there easier, and also makes overthrowing Kyros easier as well.
You *are* aware of how the /spoiler tag works, are you not?
You've not ruined anything for me, I'm well beyond that point, but be considerate to others.
I have Lantry specced out for some awesome healing. Makes my fights much easier.
Wait there's a haste spell? The only thing I found was Quicken.
Anyway on the topic of Landry himself I liked his personality. I found him amusing, he didn't complain about anything in my playthrough, and he usually had fairly insightful comments about various parts of the lore.
Plus he can give you inks that leads to a fairly amusing series of lines.
And in terms of combat like most of the people here I specced him into a high lore mage who could dish out the pain, keep my party healed, and stand solid on the front line while the enemy whacked him.
The only person I found more useful was Sirin with her dual songs, and I did find her personality slightly whiny.
And yeah, I've found Landry to be extremely useful, much more than the other two mages. Even without turning him into a tank he has powerful throwing skills, probably the best Lore progression. And as a character I like his dry humor.
Also he let me taste some of his inks and my Fatebinder got high as ****. Good times.
