The second time I just focused on murdering him while Barrik took the aggro of the spawning Bane. When he dies all the bane dissapate.
Watch out for those aoe circular blades and minions spin. Move alway from that area
If you have use the arcane dust(not sure the name) to increase your arcane resist
My party was main(mage all schools), Barrik(tank), Verse(dual) and Landry(heal). I used a lot potions and Landry to heavy heal and ress who died.
Spells use frost and illusion as mentioned and whatever you have
Took him down quite easily the second time.. the first time I bothered with his minions.
Only problem is, I didn't know the Bane would disperse after beating it, so I didn't get to increase my skills by killing them....
My party: main dude, Eb and Lantry as dps mages and Barik with 2h.
1. I started by doing some dps to the boss.
2. After he spawned 1st set of adds I used burst spells on boss to make it consume the big add. This way big add died much faster than it would take my group to dps it down.
3. Then I kited the boss around while killing the small adds until my spells were back.
4. After small adds were dead I started to hit the boss and repeat the trick with 2nd wave of adds.
5. On 3rd set of adds boss was at 40% and my group was able to zerg it.
Also Healing powers are super necasary here, make sure at least 3 dudes have them and a lot of potions.
I'd say this is probably the only fight where I used Verse mostly as an archer, because of all the auras (Malices and Havoc) and enemy AoE skills. Eb was mostly busy by distracting and stunlocking the Havoc (with occasional help from my main and Verse). During my 1st attempt I went straight for the Havoc and mostly ignored the smaller Bane, but he has a rather nasty AI that just drained the nearby Bane and replenished his health. This happened a few times, and half of my party was KO, so I decided to try again and focus on the minions first, because Havoc can be easily controlled if you constantly apply Frozen, Stunned, Drowning or Dazed to him. That proved to be working.
