I guess that could work. It's really bad that a person has to deal with worse graphics just to read it. I dunno why they couldn't just make the slider offer larger sizes. 125% is not that much in comparison to % of increases for various screen resolutions.
:(
A game that puts a lot of emphasize on reading text should contain settings for font sizes. Changing screen resolution isn't something people should have to do. If we're playing a game made in 1995 for today's modern computer, then I can understand there may be that need. However, it's a game with heavy reading lore released yesterday.
I had that problem with EVE Online and had not resubscribed to that game because of this one issue.
From my experience with other game developers, things such as head bobbing and UI/font size scaling are always left in silence. They earned their fill. They don't need to earn more from the same game. They will use what they earned to make other games and/or expansions of the existing game. The font size issue will still be a problem for some of us.
Dear Obsidian, unfortunately, that's good bye. Thanks for the little bit of hype. I guess I'll save towards purchasing Civ 6 instead.
dont try this, if you dont know what you are doing. you can break your operating system.
edit the key bellow
if its too big, go lower by changing to fe, fd, fc, fb, fa, f9, f8... .
for 140%, maybe f7.
the other 00 stuff has a meaning, but i cant figure it out in 5 minutes. probably removes the ugly part
I was trying to do the same on Pilars Of Eternity and ended in this thread, while this trick works, everytime I press ESC to bring the menu option, it resets to the default max value of 130%. Do any of guys know how could I prevent it?
other than that, probably there is not an easy way, without hacking it somehow.
Wow thanks for your reply.
Yes I was doing that with the game closed and it lauching it afterwards. Works perfectly.... until I press the ESC key to bring the menu.
you can try windowed mode, with lower resolution and scale it to fullscreen, with bg.
maybe the text will be larger, but probably blurrier, with everything else.
That's unfortunate... Guess I'll have to find a solution for the font size not sticking
Thanks again!
Glasses or contacts or lasik surgery.
