Questions regarding a dual-wield assassin-type build
Hey, could anyone answer some questions regarding skills and stats for a dual-wielding rogue/assassin character? It's an archetype I never really play in RPGs, so I figured I'd give it a shot since it kinda fits with an evil character.

I'm a few hours into the game now and it's working pretty well. However, I'm unsure about a few things.

First, is it fine to just focus on Quickness and Finesse to get a lot of crits, or would it make sense to also invest into Might for higher base damage?

Weapon skills are influenced by certain stats, often with a 1.5x or 0.5x multiplier. Do weapon skills actually directly correlate to damage with that style or no?

Do I gain any benefit from the One Handed Weapon skill while dual-wielding, since I AM using one-handed weapons, or should I just focus on the dual-wielding skill exclusively?

How exactly do stealth attacks work? From what I can gather, I can basically open a fight with one hit from stealth, but that's about it. I know rogues could be absolutely deadly in PoE, but right now I'm feeling more like i'm playing a PoE Monk again, just with weapons in my hands. There also don't seem to be a lot of skills to support the playstyle, but maybe there's spells/weapons later?

Thanks in advance.

Without being an expert, i would say start by focusing on quickness and then do str/finess afterwards, atlest that is what i am doing with verse in my playthrough:) Also dual wielding only get benefits from dual wield skill and not one handed weapon skill. Not sure about your other questions sorry,.

the weapon damage comes from talents and from might, the other stats dont affect it even if they upgrade your weapon skill.

the weapon skill and finesse determine your accuracy, which gives you an advantage on your attack roll, which decides if you hit or miss or crate or crit.
Precision is the stat that directly upgrades hits to crits etc, but its hard to come by its not an attribute you can upgrade.

finesse doesnt seem as important, it does less than in POE.

quickness increases weapon ability and spell usage.

autoattacks seem not to be too strong for me, get some spells or focus on getting abilities for weapons maybe.

Also i dont really know what dual wield does in this game, it might be underpowered. abilities dont attack with 2 weapons like in pillars.

Dont know about your monk comment, monks in pillars are very devestating because they can tank and deal very high damage at the same time.

Thank you. Regarding the monk comment, I meant that I was simply a melee fighter pummeling targets with high speed strikes as opposed to a rogue-ish stealth assassin. Monk was great, and so far I don't think dual wield is terrible, it was just a comment on the similarity of the playstyles.

pro tip - dont do assasin dual wield.

game is not really balanced, heavy armor 2-handers will absolutely wreck any assasin in cloth this moment. and all the npc fights have 1-2 heavy hitters like this.
