Thanks. Your description of the solution was actually all I needed. It made me realize that there was something in my inventory I was supposed to be looking at (I had been looking at the symbol on the wall, which is quite different). Spire get.

oh crud it seems when you exit the game and then load your game back the maps all reset and all the map is blanked out and the enemies are still there with all the loot options lol

Yeah I have all the quest items and now everything is back to where it was before I had all the quest items, also the previous quest items aren't working at all in this area

So does solving the puzzle without third clue bugs the game or not (talking about Lethian's Crossing spire here)?

It's not bugged, and quite frankly, you only need one. I guess this tests your capability of completing a pattern or following clues. There is a 3rd one and you won't get it until much later. I think that you weren't suppose to get that one yet, if you follow the main questline. However, two is all you need. Just crack it open and you can see the faint circle outlines. Just be a bit observant.

Wait until you solve the last one. Only one imprint is readily available. And yes it is super easy.

I figured it out by guessing that the symbol was symmetrical.
