Ironhaul Trail - bug?
At Ironhaul Trail, Will won't let me over the bridge even though I've said I'll pay the toll - says I've got to speak with Raetommon first. However, I've already done so and nothing has changed; Will still says I've got to speak to Raetommon first. No way around them or anything like it, no way to convice his second-in-command to turn against the obnoxious guy or anything like it either. Soo... Is there actually a 'peaceful' solution here, or are we supposed to have no other choice than to force our way past the Bronze Brotherhood (and end up in conflict with them as a result)?

Depending on your chosen path, you are given a set amount of options. Trying my best not to spoil it for anyone else and help you out, it sounds like on the path you chose, peace may not be a solution to deal with Raetommon

Gah. Ah well, can't be helped then, I guess. Wanted to make certain before I pissed off a whole faction where it may not have been necessary to do so though...

I think this part of the game is bugged. I have had a review copy for the last 5 days and right after this portion in Lethians Crossing things get weird. I made a post on it a few minutes go. Somethings off.

I'm running into the same thing and I took a mostly leniet path getting there. It sounds like there should bea follow up or will should let you pay but I can't. I'd rather not attack a faction unless it's the only way out

edit: I remembe a payment option showing up with raetommon but I didn't pick it since it sounded like a dialogue end at the time. Now it won't show up at all

Guard says to talk to their boss to pay, can't discuss anything about payment with boss, seems like there's some hints to incite the second in command to take over but nothing actually conrete. Also the game bugs out and you're stuck in permanent combat mode in the next map. Obsidian/10

Does it? I decided to take the agressive option after all - if there's indeed a peaceful solution, maybe in another playthrough - and I did enter combat mode as soon as I arrived at the next map (Sunset Spire). Howecer, combat mode ended as soon as I'd killed all the Bronze Brotherhood there, so...

Is it possible to get through Ironhaul trail and into Lethian's Crossing peacefully without siding with the Scarlet Chorus?

thats why you kill first and ask questions later. Youre the damn Kyros' Inquisitor, they think they can ♥♥♥♥ with you???

For me it was simple. I hears the magic word 'toll', and they heard the magic word 'Fireball in the face'.

I had a dialogue option to pay Will to cross, but he refuses the payment and tells me to talk to Raetommon. I talked to Raetommon, and he does not have any dialogue options that allow for me to cross into Lethian's Crossing. In fact, he seems pretty adamant that I do not cross into "his" land.

The wiki says I should be able to promise him I will behave, and thus gain his approval. But either that option simply doesn't exist due to a bug, or it requires reputation with the Bronze Brotherhood to access (in which case, I don't know how to gain any more favor with them than I currently have).

I thought I'd be able to talk to his First-Axe and somehow come to an "agreement" that would allow me to cross, but no, she just has the same dialogue options as normal. So it appears I cannot cross here, at least not at this point in the story, unless I am missing something.

I just tried attacking the mercenaries, and I have been utterly obliterated 6 times now. This isn't one of those fights were I'm just not playing well enough, it's one of those fights were I'm completely underleveled. Like I can only kill 1-2 of the mercenaries before they wipe me out, and their hits remove about 75% of my health. Not sure if this means that I shouldn't be doing this straight after the end of Act 1, or whether I've just completely gimped my party with the way I've levelled it.

Oh well, I'll leave it for now and come back to it. If I get owned everywhere else, then I guess I'll have my answer.

Anyone had the problem with leaving this location after killing everyone? I can't seem to use the map, is it something more that I have do there or just a buggy location?

Same problem here: no peaceful solution and the thugs are overpowered. The devs seem to ignore this topic. What's going on?
Togukawa Nov 13, 2016 @ 1:24am
You're not really supposed to be there yet. You can kill them and enter the town, but there will be nothing to do except for to capture the spire (and you probably can only get 2 of 3 charcoal drawings to get the symbol). It might be that your game will bug out if capture this spire at this point and then go back to your own spire (exit portal will be gone).

Later you will get the option of going to either Lenthian or some other place. If you choose to go to Lenthian, then the thugs will let you in, and you will be able to do stuff in town.

It's horrid design, but your game is not bugged out.

Yeah, it's a bad design alright. Though it might not have been the idea, they in essence provided the player with a way to cut the Gordian Knot by making it possible to simply slaughter Raetommon & co in order to get past them and also made it possible to unlock the tower before we're really supposed to... I suppose this'll get reported to them, yes, and they'll probably do soemthign about it, yes... But if it's only bad design and not an actual bug, then they'll probably prioritize fixing actual bugs before fixing this...

Odd though as it's the first spire quest (or rather it's the one the game tells you to go for first). I eneded up doing other things, but it's nice to see I can come back here later and not murder everyone. That's my second playthrough.
