So what's the deal with this? Because I've noticed that unlike in other crpgs like divinity os or shadowrun, verse's dual wield does look broken!
In other games (although they are turn based) dual wielders attack with both weapons per turn, while here they alternate between turns (I don't play pillars tho so I don't know how is it there)
Wtf?
Am I doing this wrong? Suggestions? Advice?
Example: without the Agility talent, you will swing with you right hand weapon on basic attack 1, then your left hand weapon on basic attack 2.
With the Agility talent, you will swing with both.
'Advantage' is easily replaced by another weapon set: why make half of your attacks inefficient anyway?
If you use only one weapon, tho, you can also get bonus from duelist talent or shield. Verse is the only exception because she has specialized skilltree, but still uses one weapon at a time.
Huh, in-game the description of those talents specifically states that the only valid weapon type for those talents is "Dual Wield", so I imagine if it is working with other weapon types that it is a bug, and not intended.
For anyone wondering, though, the final talent in that little side-tree of Dual Wield Mastery gives: +9% chance to strike 2 times with basic attacks (and in the animation, it is one weapon after the other) and a +6% chance to strike 3 times with basic attacks, as well as +15% weapon damage when dual wielding.
With Verse, she appears to have a series of talents in the Duelist tree called Blade Mastery that gives her up to +30% weapon damage when dual wielding. She also has the Killing Spree talents in that same tree that give her the ability to strike twice, or three times per basic attack after she kills an enemy in combat. I don't know if this is only limited to if she gets the killing blow, or if it is just if an enemy dies in combat.
You get same passive for every wepon type though.
I'm not sure we're understanding each other. In the Agility tree, there are 3 talents: Dual Wield Mastery I, II, and III. All three of them are passives and say this in their descriptions: "Valid Weapons: Dual Wield". This means that they only work when you have a one-handed weapon in each hand.
We're talking about the passive abilities here that give you a chance to swing multiple times with each basic attack. I have just confirmed for myself that, in the animation at least, the swings alternate between your main handed weapon and off handed one when these multiple basic attacks trigger.
That's what the OP was asking about, how to make their characters who are dual wielding attack with each weapon they have. It seems like you are talking about the active abilities, or other abilities that are not the ones I listed. As the only one I listed that does not specify it only works with Dual Wielding is Verse's Killing Spree.
If you want to just bash people upside the head with sticks and string, sure. Can't do it in the game, though.
