Greetings, Fatebinders to-be!
Since we see some of the same questions repeated on this forum we thought we’d address some of the more common ones in this thread! This will be continuously updated.

Is there a pre-load available?
Yes! All digital retailers have a pre-load. The pre-load starts on November 8th and is active until launch.

When does the game release?
November 10th, 8AM PST/ 17.00 CET (give or take 10-15 minutes for storefronts to update).

Can I look at people while I wait for release to happen?
That’s an oddly specific question but I’m glad you asked! There’s going to be a release stream that starts on November 10th, at 16.00 CET (7 AM Pacific) and continues after release. So you can watch that while you wait!

Game Specific Questions

Do I have to play an evil character?
No, but you always have to keep the regime you work within in mind. There are “good” choices to be made, you can try and be merciful or defiant, but everything has consequences - sometimes with unforeseen results or unexpected outcomes.


How long is the game?
The average playtime for Tyranny is around 25 hours, if you are used to the combat mechanics and play on normal difficulty. For a completionist or those playing on a high difficulty setting, it’s around 35-40 hours.


How many distinct playthroughs are there?
There are 4 distinct paths through the game, and then there’s a lot of choices that affect you and the world around you within those paths.


How do I gain XP and level up?
You level up your abilities by using them. This includes magic, combat skills, and conversational skills.


Is this a classless system?
Yes!


Is this real time with pause?
Yep!

Paradox Accounts
What’s this daily-reward thing?
You will receive one daily reward for playing logged in to a Paradox account on consecutive days. Here are the list of consumables that will be randomly distributed:

Healing Potion (Fine) - 50% HP
Healing Potion (Superior) - 100% HP
Potion of Revival - brings a fallen party member back from KO
Cairn's Leaf - +4 Armor, +20% Endurance defense
Oldwater - +10 Arcane Armor, +20% Magic defense
Potion of Elemental Barrier - +10 Shock/Fire/Frost Armor, +50 Defense vs. Paralyzed/Burning/Frozen
Dire Remedy - 120-pt Stasis Shield, +4% Max Health
Potion of Heroes - +2 to all Attributes
Scarlet Poison - Poisons enemies on Crit
Fatiguing Toxin - Weakens enemies on Crit
Potion of Invisibility
Skycap - +10 Lore, +10 Magic Skills, +4 Wits

Where do I find my pre-order items?
You will find the ingame pre-order items in your inventory after character creation is complete.

Where do I find my Archon Items?
You will find your digital items in separate folders in the main game installation folder.
Example Steam: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Tyranny

The Coat of Arms / Faction banners will be found ingame in the character creator. In the “Banner” segment, you will find the four banners at the very last of the list.

Where do I find my Overlord Items?
You will find your digital items in separate folders in the main game installation folder.
Example Steam: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Tyranny

Known Issues
Can’t select which monitor to play on if using multiple monitors
This is unfortunately a known issue with the version of Unity that the game uses. Below is how you can access the setting with games that use this version of Unity.

If you hold down SHIFT while double-clicking on the executable, it will bring up the Unity configuration window. The third option allows you to select which display the game appears on.

Known Fraps-related issues:
- Toggling fullscreen while recording in Fraps crashes game.
- Crash when Alt-tabbing in fight in Edgering Ruins while recording in Fraps.

Commander edition is the vanilla base game, not counting pre-order items that is just the game. :)

Tyranny - Commander Edition will include the following:
- Base Game
- Ringtones: three notification tones and one ringtone

So, are those included as the picture says or not?
