Gravelight was also me being more prudent and making sure Eb survives no matter what. It works, but you can also go full DPS route with Tidecaster and do pretty well, if I had to guess.
In other words? Spec Lantry as a healer (since in more difficult fights in the beginning of Arc 2 you will need that) and make Eb DPS with the tree that looks most useful. The best spells she has won't come from the talent tree anyway, so you just need to look at passives and decide what you like the most.
in terms of dmg in the case of Lantry shall i invest on quill or sage path?
btw i lost verse in the quests. so will he able to do some range dmg as well?
Right now Lantry does some of the best DPS in my party, simply because he can upgrade the spells the best and has biggest selection of spells apart from my own character.
so you gave him offensive spells as well or only vigor?
Fireballs, Gravelight spells, Frost spells... basically, anything that looked like it does good damage and also some Gravelight stuns too for emergencies. (You can learn Gravelight from Eb with high enough Loyalty/Fear.)
Eb - both gravelight path for more survivability and tidecaller path for dps work. I like the gravelight path bit better for +20% magic skill party xp and bonus spell slots for her. Possible to switch to tidecaller once you get that.
