Best Classes to Play
Just finished my first play through on hard mode.

My character was a 21 pure-mage, who by the end was a total beast, and could fight virtually any fight completely alone. Lore was around 200 by the end.

The single biggest offensive change was a rune that added hopping to spells. Instantly, my mage 4x'd his power.

Barik: I made him a 2h tank. And he sucked. He was the worst class. 2h doesn't do squat for damage because it's so slow; I tried every possible weapon.

Verse: She was a MONSTER--she could clean out entire fights in seconds, solo, no sweat. She had two 1h weapons (swords) (lore was 81)--2 DPS buffs+healing buff--and she was a beast.

Lantry: The AI is so bad on casting, I turned him into a tank/caster so he didn't get killed, while still provided some support. He was completely unnecessary though. (lore 140 ish)

I didn't try much of the others.

Anyway: my final thoughts are this:
1. NPC mages suck only because they have poor AI. And infrequently use spells.
2 2h completely sucks.
3. Dual wield + spell damage buffs = death machine.

I'm curious how the other classes panned out!

I dunno, Barik did way better in my run as a two hander tank than a one hander/shield tank. As for my Fatebinder, she was a mix of magic and two handed weapons.

Mine was 1h/shield tank with Landry as healer/buffer/dps, eb as full dps with the perks boosting frost and thunder and Sirin as support/heal. The AI was bad true, but even so my team could wipe everything on full auto on normal (end game bosses included) now on my 2nd replay i'm doing about the same on hard mode, still got hardly any hardships.

MC as tank with shield is awesome because he can take the posture that taunts ennemies every few secs, mine was abble to take on 4/5 guys on himself (actually 3 hitting him while 2 others running arround in cricles...).

ps: also all of them had shot staves, you know the ones that got 0,5 delay instead of 2,5.... basically they were all on fast cast mode.

My run currently is 2 handed sword barbarian style class in path of the damned and I decimate everybody, no magic. Siren is my main tank and to be honest she can solo literally everything in the game at this point in time now. I had her take on the entire camp at graves (like 20 people?) and her health never dipped below 75% due to my build. Have lantry as pure offensive mage, and i have verse as a support ranged damage dealer. I basically have no healers other than siren who self heals with life steal, but I kill the screen so quickly that nobody takes damage.

My best 2 playthroughs were: pure mage run and heavely armored tank with sword and board and Grounding Core, Static Charge, Gift of the Golem and Restoring Touch spells.
First one was had trollish amounts of control and damage. Second one could just cast Grounding Core and take hits to kill anyone.

1) Why would you leave AI turned on
2) Pretty much. The main use of it is the increased range, so you can root a target and then poke at them without retaliation
3) That's not dual wield, that's just weapon upgrade spells being overpowered (or more specifically volcanic weapon)

2h sucks? my main is 2h and can one-shot foes with the uppercut ability (forgot the actual name) and Sunder... thrust can reduce them to 1 bubble.

Yeah. First time I used Volcanic Weapon, I tossed it on Verse, along with Haste. She blasted apart an entire swarm of enemies far too quickly. As in, I suddenly felt cheap, like I'd cheated.

Also, if you put it on someone with 2h mastery, it apparently will fire from each swing if it starts the multiswinging. Which can lead to insanity.

I haven't tried casting it on an archer yet.

Two handed is Brutal, seriously, At level ten I can take 3 enemies taking pretty much 0 damage and wearing light armor.

2 handed is really good if you buff it with Selfless/Prideful Haste, that should drop recovery to close to 1s (which is the minimum recovery). At that point it does more damage than any other weapon style (Verse still does more though because she has those two broken mult-ihit abilities).
Where could I find a character tree showing the choices to make at every level?
