Soldier Background

Does the game have lines implying that you were a part of the Chorus if you picked the soldier background?

I've never used that background so maybe I'm missing some context, but why would it? There's nothig in the description suggesting a connection to the Chorus. In fact doesn't it state that you might have joined the Disfavored if Tunon hadn't chosen you?

There are a few talk options for [Soldier] but being a Fatebinder you have neither joined the Disfavored nor the Scarlet Chorus.
