Barik's Romance not triggering: Conditions?

Hi folks, does nayone know conditions to trigger Barik's romantic dialogue and scene on the spire/while bathing? I did the full Disfavored run, was nice to Ashe & all, but was not enough apparently. The dialogue cuts off before giving me options to express romantic interest in him.

Any ideas?

Yeah saw the video but I am more concerned about the class rather than the sex? Maybe Barik would only tap female soldier fatebinders especially when choice number 4 said "Barik, We're soldiers. I can't getan answer anywhere. Chances are fear has to be very low, which is tricky, because he gets frightened every time you mention getting him out of the armor or discussing it with Ashe.

Barik's ending depends more on loyalty, than on fear. Why would it be different with romance?

Well Im playing a Soldier female class right now.
Noticed that the option to ask if can how to get off his armor is missing (U know the one if he could masturbate) Still on act 2, will report on results.
***Note if this is an indicator, then will try on male soldier on act I

Tried it, romance did not happen. Will replay act 2 and must get major reputaion to end edict of stone

I had full loyalty with him and it did not trigger.

Gonna do Act II again.... wish I had chosen easy instead of hard in order to see choices.
Maybe its not about the class and more about the how you respond to barik?

Example: Choosing "Barik Bridge" may lock out romance option or stabbing him with a hot irom will lock out romance

Has anyone helped barik without barik resisting?

I did not use him as a bridge, I leaped myself, but my character had to stab him with the hot iron, selecting all the most friendly options I could think of.

Also, he did not like it when I suggested killing Archons to get blood, before he interjected about the Queen? Perhaps selecting Amelia's child is better?

The only other thing I can think of, I did tell Ashe that I am not going to bend the knee to him before eliminating Scarlet Chorus, and it seemed to shock Barik

Barik's Fear was at 3, I think for me. Could you try to keep it lower to see if that's it?

I don't think you NEED to be a soldier. If that was a Soldier only option it would have "[Soldier]" before that option.

Think it has to do with the initial dialogs "Would your answer be different if I were Disfavored". I picked "I'm not talking about sex Barik" so it didn't trigger. Max loyalty and very low fear. I can check exactly what its at if you wish.

My character is male but I don't think it matters, in a video I saw the Fatebinder was male also.

I am pretty sure I picked "were I Disfavored?" Option there to which Barik stuttered something about his mind being preoccupied with other things. I think my girl overall was as clear about liking him as she was allowed to be.

I hope that today's update that mentions the strings being cut off in Barik's dialogue after Never Free being restored gets the romance to trigger. Please, please, please....
