Bastard's Wound Sleepless Achievement Help
Hello to you all and thanks for anyone who gives me some help with this.

See I searched all over the internet, between wikis, reddits, steam, and the paradox forums and can't find an answer to this. I'm having trouble with two of the achievements related to the Sleepless in the Bastard's Wound DLC.

The two achievements I mean are "They sort of deserved it" and "Requiem for the Somnombulist". Now through my searching I found that to get the Somnombulist Achievement I need to get "They sort of deserved it". I know I get this achievements by talking to Reef-Talon, but nowhere does anyone specify how I actually trigger the right dialogue.

I'm also not sure if I need to do this in her room in the old walls, or in front of the last mural. Or if by being on the "make reef talon the leader" path I've locked myself out of that dialogue entirely.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Alright so I found the answer on my own. Of all things it was thanks to the Germans.

To explain that I found a German article on the DLC and google translated and they actually laid out the different ways Reef-Talon's encounter can go.

SO. To that end I will take the time to clearly lay out how to get the achievement.

To get "They sort of deserved it..." you need to tell Reef-Talon "You're going back to the Wound one way or another" and then you need to tell her "You're running from your guilt" TWICE. This means you need to pick the option twice. Tell her killing them is the only way. After the second time you'll get the opportunity to yell at her with an Aethletic Check, then you'll get the chance to lie to her with a Subterfuge check. After that she'll go about killing all the Sleepless in the area (excluding Lexeme and 4 others. 2 located in the Fractured Depths and Darkened Hollow each.).

WARNING : Currently if you're on the Quest/Route to make Reef-Talon the leader of Bastard's Wound, the game will bug out. This results in a Lexeme who refuses to die. More specifically you keep killing her and it doesn't count. I looted her corpse not once, but twice, and she still managed to show up in front of the final mural beside Reef-Talon.

Were you able to get the Requiem for the Somnambulist achievement? I got Reef to Kill the Sleepless, killed Lexeme, and as far as I can tell, killed everything in the Fractured Depths and the Darkened Hollow. Am I missing something else?

See because of all this, I actually went ahead and wrote an entire guide on the achievements for the DLC.

To save you some scrolling however...

Requiem for the Somnombulists
Description: Slay all of the Sleepless in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Wound.
How to Obtain: To obtain this Achievement you must also meet the requirements for "They Sort of Deserved it...". Firstly you must go through the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Wound Oldwalls and kill all the Sleepless there, including the the NPC Sleepless and Lexeme.

To get "They sort of deserved it..." you need to tell Reef-Talon "You're going back to the Wound one way or another", then you need to tell her "You're running from your guilt" TWICE. This means you need to pick the option twice. Tell her killing them is the only way. After the second time you'll get the opportunity to yell at her with an Athletic Check, then you'll get the chance to lie to her with a Subterfuge check. After that she'll go about killing all the Sleepless in "The Abyss" excluding Lexeme.

WARNING : Currently if you're on the Quest/Route to make Reef-Talon the leader of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Wound, the game will bug out. This results in a Lexeme who refuses to die. More specifically you keep killing her and it doesn't count. I looted her corpse not once, but twice, and she still managed to show up in front of the final mural beside Reef-Talon.

They Sort of Deserve It...
Description: Trick Reef-Talon into inadvertently wiping out her loved ones in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Wound.
How to Obtain: To get this achievement, when confronting Reef-Talon in her room in "The Abyss" you'll need to tell her "You're going back to the Wound one way or another", then you must tell her "You're running from your guilt" TWICE. This means you need to pick the dialogue option a second time after the first. Tell her killing them is the only way the first time, after the second time you'll get the opportunity to yell at her with an Athletic Check, then you'll get the chance to lie to her with a Subterfuge check.

Your guide is fantastic, and I thank you for it. One addition you might want to make - you can only complete "Requiem" if you do NOT choose Mell's quest, History of the Overwalls. I've tried twice that way and was not able to complete it. Going with Wagstaff's quest, I was able to finish it with no trouble.

That note is already there. History of the Old Walls is the quest to bring Reef-Talon back that I mentioned was bugged. I just couldn't rememeber the name of it at the time I wrote the guide.

Thank you however for the input!

No, this was a different issue. I was able to kill Lexeme with no problem on that quest.

Still proves the quest as a whole is bugged and best avoided.

Sorry to necro an old topic, but I don't see the conversation options necessary to get the "They Sort of Desrve It" achievement. Is this possible to do when you have the History of the Oldwalls Part 2 quest? My guess is that it's not because I can't even really bring up the Sleepless. All I can do is get Reef-Talon to the mural. Literally every possible conversation just leads to that. The options mentioned here don't exist for me.

((Copy pasted from an Achievement Guide I wrote for Bastard's Wound some time after creating this thread. I hope it helps.))

Actually looking it up I think the answer to your question is in this thread, a few posts up:

So yes, with History of the Old Walls you're boned.

Your post mentions that Requiem isn't possible. It doesn't explicitly mention that They Deserve it also isn't possible. So really my post is more for posterity, for anyone that stumbles here in the future, they'll know that neither achievement is possible if they take the History of the Oldwalls quest.

Actually it does mention it. I just didn't give the Quest Name. An error on my part true, but it is there. I used the exact same warning text for both, noted for each achievement individually. But I will add the quest name to prevent future confusion.

EDIT: Just realized you said post and not Guide. I wrote a Guide. Hopefully they find that before they find this topic.
