Portrait Pack DLC

Does anyone know if the portrait pack DLC will also change out the character portraits attached to the dialogue screen? My one disappointment when importing my own portraits is that the Inventory screen portraits and face portraits on the left side of the screen directly clashed with the dialogue portraits. And I could not find a way to overwrite those with my own images.

If the portrait pack changes BOTH types of images, that would probably be worth the investment to me.

I seriously don't believe that a snapshot will ever be able to carry the appeal of a well crafted portrait. Like those in icewindtale for example, and if I need a certain looking charakter there is always deviantart

Charging for this content that should have been in the base game is a joke. I will not buy this or support this BS. Really devs? This is how you reward the people who spent money on your game? Very very poor decision making on Managements decision. You can't win over peoples continued patronage with this.

Portraits are in the game.

This is just a few extra for those that want them. The portraits a very nicely done, optional content. Had they never been produced no one would have missed them or suddenly felt entitled to them. They also freely allow people to add there own custom portraits.

Now, can we at least agree that the "option" for doing a snapshot would still be nice, whether you like the results or not?

yes it's nice and I even like it, that the option is there, but after some time I, personally always miss the atmosphere.

Not really sure why PC Gamers praise Paradox, they have some of the worst dlc crash-grabs around.

Most games now amount to £1000 of dlc, that are basically snipped of assets, they are terrible.

I used to praise Paradox's DLC, because it used to be good. When they first started releasing DLC to their new policy, early in CK2, the DLC were wonderful, at a reasonable price... and they gave 70% of the DLC away for free as a patch for those who didn't buy it.

Then the DLC for CK2 became mediocre... pick em up on sale sort of things.

But a portrait pack DLC for an RPG? Really? That's just daft.

Why? Sure they could try to engender good will be giving the portraits away, but they have no guarantees that would payoff down the track given how entitled gamers are these days.

It's just a bit of optional cosmetic content.
