Changing the display resolution doesn't work, shows 1/4 screen
When I started the game for the first time, the image was blurred so I looked at the options and it was set to a low res.

I changed it to my monitor resolution (Full HD), and borderless window to avoid any problem if I have to switch tasks.

It didn't correctly change the resolution and switched to a window, showing only the 4th of the screen. The mouse cannot even easily select what options are visible because what it points and what it selects are off.

So it's not even possible to modify the options anymore.

Windows 10 x64
NVIDIA RTX 3070, up-to-date drivers
resolution: 1920x1080

Sorry to hear you had trouble. You can use the following launch commands to manually revert changes: -w 1920 -h 1080 -windowed -noborder

Thanks for the tip. I had to return the game because of another issue, however.

I believe this had to do with a keyboard layout installing itself? I searched that up and have seen some folks bringing up the subject of their keyboard layouts being switched to QWERTY rather than keeping the current layout.

I have never experienced this, and I do not have a QWERTY keyboard. I do have a QWERTY layout just in case a game does not allow me to change keybindings like Antichamber, but never had INFRA and Black Mesa install a custom layout or switch to it just because they felt like it. I temporarily removed my QWERTY layout to test this issue and could not reproduce it.

Sorry that I could not be of more assistance.

That's interesting. I have an AZERTY layout and I had the same symptoms with both games, with Windows 10. I'm wondering if I hadn't had the same with Portal Reloaded but I'm not sure. So it seems to be linked to Valve's Source engine.

I cannot find the new keyboard in the system settings, I only see mine, but the game made the language bar visible (I had it get to invisible) with an US keyboard and set a shortcut (that I had initially removed). If I look at the settings, it still says the language bar is invisible, but in reality it's not. Windows 10 is particularly obscure when it comes to managing languages and keyboards, and having several ones is awkward in most IDEs because I'm using a lot of shortcuts (let alone when entering the passwords), so I'm avoiding that.

Sometimes it would disappear after a reboot, sometimes not. It's really a nasty hack. I suffered it with INFRA but I'm not going there again. Too bad because I've been looking forward to playing Black Mesa for a while.

I have an AZERTY keyboard as well, and would have loved to troubleshoot the issue with you as I really do not have this issue on either of my systems. If you ever wanted to purchase Black Mesa again, we can definitely look into it again.
