Gonarch's Lair: Gas plant won't ignite by torch

Hi guys,

I'm stuck in Gonarch's Lair in front of a spider web. There's a gas plant, but - different to the other ones - it won't ignite, no matter where I put the torch (sorry, I don't know the right word for it).

I'm in a passage with a gas plant at the left side of the entrance. A few metres further, there's a gas plant on the right. Further down the passage there's a spider web on the right through with you can see and hear Gonarch.

On the left, there are the spider webs I can't ignite.

I hope you can help me with this one.
