Broken "Endgame" chapter
Hello, I've been replaying Black Mesa since the new chapters came out, and I finally beat it. However, when I got to the end with the Gman speech, there is no audio. All other sounds continue to play, like Gman's walking noise, or the noise of the Island blowing up. But the Gman refuses to speak. I've tried everything, I uninstalled and reinstalled and verified the the files. I never had any mods so I don't think that it. And when I went to watch the Gman speech online, I realized that the Gman in my game doesn't move his mouth. The subtitles still appear on the screen as though he was talking, but his mouth doesn't move and there isn't any dialogue audio. This wouldn't be that big of an issue, but it prevents me from unlocking the achievement "rather an anticlimax" because I will wait and wait for 10 minutes but Gman never leaves. I believe this is because the trigger for him leaving you to die is him telling you "No regrets, Mister Freeman". Since my Gman doesn't talk, he doesn't trigger the anticlimax ending. Sorry if this was difficult to read, I'm just tired and frustrated because I've been trying to fix this all day. Please ask any questions for clarification.

Could you try launching your game with +workshop_disable 1 to see if it helps? Slso, make sure your custom folder in Black Mesa/bms folder is empty.

Right click the game in your library, go to properties and type it in launch settings.

Navigate to your game installation folder to find the custom folder. There should be a “browse local files” or something similar in the same properties tap.

Have you already tried the instructions above? Was the issue been fixed?

Worked like a charm, I don't think I ever installed any mods, but it did the trick none the less. Thank you very much!
