You can go to the New Game menu and choose an unlocked chapter, you will be equipped with all previous weapons.
We know it's inconvenient and annoying, but such is the nature of early access - we have to update the game and Source just doesn't handle saves very well. Once the game is finished and out of early access this will stop occuring.
Load Error - Outdated save is incompatible with version of the game...

I'm playing the Black Mesa beta and yesterday I got to bm_c4a3a1 in the Interloper chapter. However when I try to continue my save today, I get this error: "Outdated save is incompatible with current version of the game."
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Just did it myself. No way in hell I was playing through that much Surface Tension again the hard way.
If you don't want to be bothered by incompatible saves just wait for the game to come out of Early Access.
How do you enable godmode? Had this same thing happen to me right as end of a Xen chapter...
1) enable developer console
2) open console
3) type: sv_cheats 1
4) type: god
5) type: noclip
6) exit console
7) fly very fast through the map
ATTENTION: it is very easy to miss spots on the map that trigger loading of the next area.. so if you can remember where those places are, you need to disable the noclip and then walk through them normally to trigger the load. Once you're in the new area re-enable noclip and get to the next spot. WARNING: certain interactions may need to occur for the game to progress normally or the map simply won't end or work (like a boss fight or challenge/puzzle for example). I just had that happen to me. I didn't free a crystal like the map intended and now i can't get it so i'll have to roll back to a previous save (still save doing these cheats periodically).

BUT i'm finding a lot of these entity names aren't working.. so just use command: impulse 101. I find it's really helpful to bind noclip and impulse to keys because of all the map triggers you need to hit under normal circumstances.
