Game screen is too dark to play. why??

Hello from japan.

I enjoy playing this game so much.
But... The game screen is too dark to play.
I tried to solve it (Of course, I checked brightness in option.),
I have no idea!

Tell me how to solve it please!

You have the overdark glitch.

To Fix The Over Darkening Issue
Type the following two commands into the console

mat_hdr_level 2
mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil 1

enable it in the advanced keyboard settings. Or set launch option -console.
Press the "~" key and the developer console should appear!
The tilde key ~ is the first key in the numbers row.

i had the same issue the brightness bar is backwards so 2.7 is the darkest and 1.6 is the brightest. hope i could help :)

Same problem here. I tried it all (console commands, full brightness, even edited the Autoexect file). Im at the very beggining of the game, Still in Sector B, walked into a dark room that seems literally like a black hole, even the flashlight is useless. The game is unplayable.

Please, anyone can light our path?

You have an intel card. That might be because why everywhere is dark, since those aren't supported. You can try launching the game with those launch commands to see if it helps:
-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95

If they don't, then I'm afraid it's a problem with your specs.

Thanks Grumpy. Finally reading it all once more, i fixed it. The problem as "A Name" wrote up there is that the brightness bar is backwards. Damn!!. Thanks to you all. Keep playing.

you'll have to go to the game settings. and set dynamic lights quality to medium.
