Graphical Issues after Necro Patch (DXVK)
After updating to the Necro Patch and using the default launch option I am experiencing major graphical issues upon loading into a game.
The main menu appears fine however while in the loading screen for a level the text, after rendering correctly at first, breaks. See here : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3224464957

Then, when the level has loaded there are major graphical issue. See here:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3224464829
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3224464934

Most of the text in the menu is then also completely broken. See here:

Opening the game using the DirectX launch option works fine.

System: Nvidia GTX 950
Nvidia Driver: 552.22
Windows 10

That's a known problem with DXVK on this game, it caused those weird lights to appear. Apparently, since this is still there, they didn't really test ALL the levels, since this very specific problem only happens in a few levels and only in certain zones. Welp.

Does a GTX 950 support Vulkan?

Ah that's strange that they've made it the default with these issues if it affects everyone. This was on Surface Tension.

Upgrade your OS to a modern supported one.

mine wont even launch using the default option. It freezes on the first logo. It only launches with DX9+11. Is this normal? I've an RTX 4070 and OS+ drivers are updated

What's the version of your OS? Do you have any fancy software, or game overlays, installed?

Have you modded any other game with DXVK and installed it globally somewhere? Do you have any VR kit? Oculus, perhaps?

You're talking about the same studio who previously left the graphics menus borked, so not that strange if true.

If it doesn't ask you at launch, right click Black Mesa in your Steam library, select properties and then under launch options select "Play Black Mesa (DirectX9+11)"
