This is the half life game people want a third sequel to? First I spend god knows how long riding a monorail. Then I don't get a weapon for what feels like the first 20 minutes of this game, maybe longer. and when I finally get one, everything is a bullet sponge. Yeah I'm kinda done with this garbage.

Incidentally, this is a remake of Half Life 1, and knowing my knowledge surrounding the standard numbering system, (1) is not followed by (3)

Now i understand why some people doesn't recommend to play black mesa first than original game for newbies. If you weren't having patience that much when riding a long monorail even in original game, then the Half-Life series might not be for you.

Because I know Half life 2 exists. I was told this is a remake of half life 1.

People like how it is not 100% combat as the story-telling is being told through the first-person view during the gameplay itself. Black mesa being authentic to Half Life's interactive world building is the one thing that this game got right while other aspects of the game is just ass (i'm still pissed at how they ruined xen).

Half-Life is also bullet spongey but playing on easy kinda solves that. Not sure about black mesa since I only played on normal.

Sounds like you just have zero patience for anything period... I'm guessing if a game doesn't have a giant marker on the map pointing exactly where to go you'd claim it sucks. Maybe just stick to COD?

I beat RIven without a walkthrough. So no, I don't think that's the problem.

I beat elden ring without help. I beat Halo 1-3 on legendary. So no, I don't think it's a skill issue either. I think the problem is that this game's just caca.

Waste of time, far too easy, and the difficulty is mostly artificial in Xen.
