Shotgun and Magnum damage

Dear developers, please increase the damage to the Shotgun and Magnum. I just can't kill the marines, zombies and Vortigaunts with the first shot.

It depends on the range and accuracy of your shot. You shouldn't be able to kill marines with one body shot up close, they have powered armour lol

Plus buckshots have terrible penetration but that's off topic. I don't have this version of the game yet but @OP: What difficulty are you playing?

I agree on the shotgun. It's just a hair under powered. I am finding it difficult to get the same effect I got with it in HL.

On the .357 I disagree. A head shot takes them down one shot every time. As expected. :)

Ok. But shotgun doesn't kill even at a distance of about 3-5 meters.

Shotgun would be OP with the ammo you can carry. It's well balanced.

are you kidding me? The Soliders HP is reduced anyway compared to HL1. Play on Easy or Medium if its too hard for you... Headshot with Magnum, or Double Shot with Shotgun. Or shoot the body with Magnum, quickly switch to MP5 and finish them off.
The problem with the Shotgun is not that its weak, but that its not satisfying to use because of bad shooting animation and underwhelming sound.
Besides to one shot Marines you have Crossbow. If Magnum could one-shot, there wouldnt be any difference to Crossbow really.

I got rekt by this like 5 times,because of big dmg it dealt.
And some shots didnt hit helicopter.

Or maybe its just difficulity.
