Not currently. We're going to look into it.

I hate that the BMS devs removed it from SP. A big part of what I love about replaying HL1 is bunnyhopping through it. When I played through the original BMS mod I had to mess with air acceleration just to get it back to normal.

I guess they take it out because it doesn't fit their "vision" of what the game should be or whatever, even though it's an obscure trick that 90% of players would never figure out on their own.

It reminds me of when Valve removed bhopping from HL2, and that was really crappy. I still wish they'd reenable it rather than the backwards bhopping that exists now.

I'll never understand why developers remove fun from their games.

HEY
BE GLAD THAT BHOP MAPS ARE POSSIBLE IN BLACK MESA LATER

backward bunnyhop was fun, it was faster anyways

OH NO I JUST FELL OUT OF THE MAP IN 15 SECONDS WITH IT (on half life 2 i actually did that before)

To clarify something. We didn't remove anything related to bunny hopping. It's entirely on Valve and what they did to the Source engine. We will aim to reinstate it at some point in the future with a toggleable cvar, but I can't promise anything.

explains why the movement felt so...off...when i played yesterday...
Bunnyhop is so needed, and sprint is not needed.
Not autobhop, Just a speed limiter

I'm happy u guys are considering looking into this, because here:
http://wiki.blackmesasource.com/Deathmatch_FAQ#Is_strafe-jump_.28bunnyhop.29_and_Tau-jump_possible_in_BM:DM.3F

Says it differently:
"Is strafe-jump (bunnyhop) and Tau-jump possible in BM:DM?

No to strafe-jump, yes to Tau-jump."

Of course, the wiki is not updated and this was answered before the idea of having the game on steam...

I know Im just one person, but I would definately buy this if there was bunny hopping. Makes revisting an old game much more fun if you can jump around whilst doing so. (Besides you bunnyhop in the original game)
