Inventory HUD missing

I played through about 4 chapters fine, did not notice immediately, but the weapon selection HUD went missing. I was using a gamepad, but I knew It was there most of the time I played, it only vanished several chapters after I started using the gamepad. I tried disabling it and restarting. I knew HL2 has inventory problems with controllers, but even with the mouse, the inventory is not visible. The rest of the HEV hud, the life and ammo meters ARE still visible, Its only the inventory selection.

I Fixed it. For some reason the fast weapon switch feature causes it. I disabled it, and I see the inventory hud again now.
