How is 68 degrees "pleasant"?
During the train ride, the annoucher says the topside temp is 105 degrees and that the inside temperature is maintained at a "pleasant 68 degrees"

How is 68 degrees "pleasant" (normally, anything above 35-40 is very hot, it gets like 25-30 outside in a very hot summer), and the topside temperature is apparently 105 degrees boiling away any water instantly?
68 degrees is about the hottest water you can get out of the tap on hottest setting.

The temperature is not in celsius. It's in fahrenheit. The temperature in celsius is 20 degrees

I'm sorry, but I did laugh at the question. You're right: keeping it nearly three quarters of the way to boiling point wouldn't be very pleasant XD

68 degrees fahrenheit, not celsius.

68 degrees fahrenheit is pleasant, if a little on the cold side
105 degrees fahrenheit is extremely hot (at least for my state)

How someone could not know about this? Did he try to make a joke?

I'm living in europe, too and by learning (a bad kind of) english I learned those things too. For example there is a famous book called "Fahrenheit 451". And in school it is definitively mentioned in any physics class. Maybe i've been a bit to harsh. It's still possible, that your school in particular didn't teach it and you've been not interested in American everyday life (like others aren't intersted in everyday life in spain).
it's also possible that sebastian is a tiny baby who hasn't gotten far enough in school yet to cover the fact that there are different ways of measuring temperature

that's right, as shocking as it may be to many of my fellow olds, there are people under the age of wizened mummy on the internet

The game takes place in the United States. Because we're weird, we use the Farenheight sytem for temperature instead of Celcius. 105 is very hot, but not unbearable, and 68 degrees is comfortable, a little cool, lab coat probably makes it the perfect temperature.

I am kinda surprised that the OP never heard about Fahrenheit, neither in school, nor by being exposed to US media, nor plain curiosity.
