Another thing I recommend doing, is going to the audio tab inside the settings and turn on "Subtitles only". Then you will get texting for all the talk inside game, and this greatly enhances the experience since you will learn a lot more about the half-life story.
I think you should really dont skip parts of black mesa since every part is greatly enhanced to add to the story, so I think you should ride the train anyways.
then type map bm_c1a0a in the console and you're good to go
