Black Mesa - Windows 10 Issue
Dear gamers, I would like to ask you for a help - my screen started flickering in game after I updated to Windows 10. What is weird is that flickering stops while I try to make in-game video of this issue with Movavi Game Capture. Please find video of this issue on following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfV5YdAsjPg I would really appreciate your help because I couldn't find solution anywhere. Thank you, Vaclav.

I'm on Windows 10 and it's fine, It might be you don't have enough memory in you computer.

Thank you for you reply, but I have 8GB DDR3 RAM + ATI Radeon R7 200 series, so I don't think that this is the reason.

What driver are you currently using for your AMD card?

Mogavi Game Capture software does not list Windows 10 under their system requirements. Have you looked at Mogavi's site for troubleshooting tips.

I wonder if other W10 users are experiencing flickering with Black Mesa.

There will always be driver issues and growing pains with a new operating system.

Hi guys, I use latest drivers 15.8 Beta but I also tryed previous version 15.7.1 without any change. I found temporary solution which works = when I change resolution to 1600x900 and then back to 1080i, then flickering turns off. So I think it is a game issue instead of drivers issue. Thank you for your help, Vaclav:steamhappy:

Try running the Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
Sprinting and running are the same thing, to fix that go to OPTIONS>Black Mesa> and untick the "Enable Always Run" box.

Windows 10 does not come with DirectX 9.0, Install it and restart your computer, not just shutdown because that doe not do the same thing, restarting wipes the hybrid startup file, which can cause problems if it is corrupted, and it also resets the kernal up-time clock.

EDIT, removed wrong DirectX link

If you search for DirectX 9 you get that link. If you add Windows 10 to the search you get the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010), try this instead http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 , sorry for the confusion.

Since you recently upgraded to W10, make sure you have the latest windows updates installed along with the latest video card drivers. If the above does not fix it I am out of ideas.

Anyone else have this problem, and how did you fix it.

I am sure one of the dev's [Chon] will see this, but next time you might start a new post because this is not related to the original posters problem from over a month ago.

I have seen a few comments to add -windowed in the Set Launch Options... field.
It might be helpful to know more about your system, laptop/desktop, cpu, video card, video driver version etc...
