This is a game, the point is to have fun.
I know this current generation of "gamers" love their QTE in their cutscenes and their ADS, but after seeing Halo doing it now I'm personally tired of it. Nevermind the fact that it's boring, you might as well be a scripted rail shooter at that point.

I also don't understand the obsession to make everything "realistic" yeah you've got your immersion but a walk in the park is the most realistic thing you can get, and it's free...It's great you love your ADS and your "realism" but in Half-life? Heh, no thankyou.

Someone has a stick up their ass about something. Pretty sure I didn't mention anything about QTE or even CoD.

If they do implement ADS(which is something that existed well before CoD BTW) and the feature still horribly offends you because it isn't what you were doing on your Amiga back the day, then just simply refrain from pushing MB2. That way everyone is happy.

A game should be judnged on the merits of its gameplay and mechanics. NOT the people who happen to play it.

In any case, I am asking for ADS, not Black Mesa to be turned into or even advocating CoD.

I personally don't want iron sights, but the whole 'this aint COD' is getting a bit tiresome.
STALKER has iron sights and is harder than COD and Half Life combined.

I would personally love iron sights like in Half Life 2: HD mod, the iron sights added a bit to the game that I had no clue I wanted, So I would say it wouldn't be farfetched to want Iron sights

No. Many weapons have a secondary fire mode which uses, by default the right mouse button. Besides,ADS feels very clunky for me and it would only slow down the gameplay. The reason why the magnum has it, is because in the original game you could zoom in using it.
