Steam Input keeps reverting to Default Setup (SteamDeck)
While I'm trying to make my own adjustments to the control scheme, going back and forth between the game and the SDs input config, it keeps reverting back to the official (?) input layout, while also "forgetting" changes I made to my own layout.
It keeps resetting the trackpad sensitivity to 100%, keeps deactivating the rear buttons on my layout etc...
Then it marks my privately exported layout as [incompatible] — excuse me!?

This is the first time I've encountered the SD doing this, as if it's trying to fight me changing any of the controls.

Just curious if anyone has encountered the same problem, whether with Black Mesa or any other game on the SD.

I have the same problem with my Steam Controller on PC....

Similar issue exists for the original Half Life, and I've reported it to Valve directly on Github. I recommend you do the same or the issue will likely remain overlooked

Strange that you encountered this on the original half life, I played it not too long ago and had no issues reconfiguring controls.
I would have thought that since each steam deck is mostly the same hardware and OS wise, that individual users wouldn’t experience such differing behavior, but apparently it happens

It's probably a problem with the latest SteamAPI for controls. Naturally this will affect every game to implement the latest version; I'd bet this problem is present for Half Life 2 as well.
