Damn that’s so sad, I would even be okay with a washed version, one that looks like Half Life 2 VR. I just want the whole half life experience in VR, with a pleasurable experience. I personally think the original graphics in VR is just too dated for a good experience.
For now, you can play it in VR using VorpX.
Just note , you do not have motion controls . You have to use a controller or mouse/keyboard.

It still has problems and only mixed recent and overall reviews. I would prefer VR with the new engine.
The reasons why Black Mesa won't get a VR port is not a tech limitation, but a logistics one already explained by the team in multiple occasions. There are other threads about it ever since the HL2 VR port came out.
I'd like nothing more to see Black Mesa get a full VR port like Half-Life 2. Although the developers of Half-Life 2 VR showed interest, they can't without the source code (reportedly) and Crowbar can't share their source code because I think it's owned by Valve? Search the forums for the full info on the subject. The crowbar team already talked about it.
TIL Titanfall 2 runs on Source! Now I wonder if there's a chance of a VR mod. That would be insane!
