Black Mesa
Black Mesa VR Port
i’ve done some research and have seen vr ports for the original half life, and half life 2, but none for black mess or even half life source remaster. Is there any way we can get a port for black mesa. I’ve seen other methods but you can’t use touch controls or anything, only vr view sadly.

There is no VR port for Black Mesa in the works, and it's highly improbable one would ever exist. Black Mesa already pushes the Source engine to its limits, and the dev team did hire a VR developer, that advised the team to not bother, because it's way too much work, and it's not worth the effort.

Damn that’s so sad, I would even be okay with a washed version, one that looks like Half Life 2 VR. I just want the whole half life experience in VR, with a pleasurable experience. I personally think the original graphics in VR is just too dated for a good experience.
I think a mod will eventually come out.
For now, you can play it in VR using VorpX.
Just note , you do not have motion controls . You have to use a controller or mouse/keyboard.

+1 for VR port. Tried oh how I tried soo hard to play Pancake mode but, nah cant do it anymore. VR has ruined me so now its VR or nothing.
I think the team that made Half-life 2 VR mod said that if they had the source code they could look into it. But I think this could be legally complex as they would need Valve autorization... I hope someday they can make it work
+1 for VR port
There is a vr port of the og half life
Do you mean this mod? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1asXU3YWZFw
It still has problems and only mixed recent and overall reviews. I would prefer VR with the new engine.

That is not even an issue and it does not push it to it's limits. Far more advanced games such as Titanfall 2 runs on Source engine.

The reasons why Black Mesa won't get a VR port is not a tech limitation, but a logistics one already explained by the team in multiple occasions. There are other threads about it ever since the HL2 VR port came out.

I'd like nothing more to see Black Mesa get a full VR port like Half-Life 2. Although the developers of Half-Life 2 VR showed interest, they can't without the source code (reportedly) and Crowbar can't share their source code because I think it's owned by Valve? Search the forums for the full info on the subject. The crowbar team already talked about it.

Then Valve needs to come forward and give their OK for this project. Should not be too hard for them. Let the community do all the work and at the end profit from good publicity. Sound like Bethesda all over again. Maybe we should ask the big boss directly... if he is ok with it against it all should be good

TIL Titanfall 2 runs on Source! Now I wonder if there's a chance of a VR mod. That would be insane!
