Surface Tension Mortar thing

I am on top of the tower with the mortar thing yet i cant get it to fire, what do i have to do?

you need to load it with shells and then fire it pick up the ammo

Wait 'till monster (Gargantua) is banging its head (no joking) on the tower you've just jumped on so the damn thing may be standing relatively still in one place; then see upper view on mortar's display grid and point with red-dot cursor (1 left-click) on corresponding position of Gargantua beside tower - now press the "fire" button (down-center one) on that display by left-clicking it (second left-click after the positioning one). Wait up there, trying not to fall from Gargantua's shaking of said tower. 1 missile goes BUM! = monster dead in a kinda disappointing animation. That's it! Next point mortar to were the antenna is in the courtyard (flanked by exploding boxes), repeat process and proceed further. Baw-meow, OLE!

click the aimer on the grey fire button in the lower center of the aim screen just like you target the mortar(like you are aiming the mortar at the fire button). You will hear a faint boom and then a whistle then they hit. It takes them a little bit of time.

I need help. I can get the airstrikes to fire, but the Gargan keeps shaking the tower I'm standing on so hard and so often that I litterally cannot aim.

every time i try to fire it it says "Unknown Command; fire_mortar" in console and does not fire at all

You most likely have mods. Launch your game with +workshop_disable 1 and empty your custom folder is Black Mesa/bms folder.
