Does using a cheat code permanently disable achievements?
I need to rewind about 5-10 minutes of game time, but all the auto-saves are past the moment I want to get back to. The most recent manual save is like 3 hours worth of gameplay back, at the beginning of the previous chapter (not even the chapter I'm on).

I don't need the cheat code to do the achievement, I just need to be able to get back to a spot on the map that has now been made inaccessible. I set the pizza box down somewhere I assumed I'd be coming back to, and it's now obvious that I won't be coming back.

Can I, for example, noclip back onto the bridge, turn noclip back off, save, reload that save, and still be able to earn achievements going forward? Otherwise I have to replay the whole "Questionable Ethics" chapter and the first half of "Surface Tension", which will just be a tedious slog since I literally just did it.

Would loading any manual save also work? Asking because this comment:

...seems to imply you can:
  1. Enable cheats ("sv_cheats 1")
  2. Do a cheat (in my case, a quick "noclip" to get back to a previous area)
  3. Disable cheats ("sv_cheats 0")
  4. Save game
  5. Load that save
...and be OK. I haven't played again since I originally posted this, but I figure it's worth asking. If it's not a sure thing, though, then I guess I'll just bite the bullet and replay a couple of chapters. Lame, but not nearly as lame as having to start the whole game over or play for hours at a time wondering whether I'm just gonna have to redo it later. :)

Come to think of it, that other thread also implies that some of the cheats might be available without formally enabling cheats, so I guess the first thing to try is just see if it works on its own.

Nope, if you use sv_cheats 1 then sv_cheats 0, you won't be able to get achievements.

Dang. I guess maybe what the other post was talking about might be helpful to cheese an achievement you can just get and then revert, but in this case I need campaign continuity after the fact (since I have to keep the pizza).

Ah well, it was worth asking. Replaying a couple of levels isn't the end of the world, I guess. Will have to develop new manual saving habits to make sure this doesn't happen again, since the quick/auto saves won't always save you.

I used sv_cheats to fix some model issues with mods (even the mod says you have to sv_cheats to fix it. I removed 357 and used give "weapon_name" to get it back) and I am still able to get achievements after doing so, idk
