Xen too long?

Did anybody else get really exhausted in Xen?
I feel like a lot of stuff there is stretching a bit too far. At many points I felt like I just wanted to get it other with, because my patience was exhaustd. Especially the Interloper bit. Am I the only one who felt like this?

yeah, i quit when i get to gonarch too. i saw the rest on utube, and yeah, it's really beautiful, but the gameplay really sucks. And they spent all that time making it.

Agreed. Last I played, I was at the Gonarch's lair exterior, but never ventured inside. Like Jazluvr, I've seen the rest on YT, but it just came across as underwhelming and overly long IMO.

It's long when you play the game in one whole session, i played xen when it released after i was long done with the campaign and it's not too long

Same, when you expect the Game to end it just gets on, and might leave this impression of beeing longer than expected. Thats not a Xen Problem,..to me.

Xen is long. But Gonarch's Lair is just frustrating. Sometimes he is vulnerable and sometimes he isn't. And you won't know until you try and die a few times.

almost give up on xen too so im glad im not alone the level xen is the worst of all game and is the reason i dont replay this game

This might be because of my laggy-ish framerate but i just found myself looping in other areas, getting lost and getting annoyed at some of the puzzles and i just gave uo and just immediately skipped to the nilanth fight, but hey it couldve just been my patience

It definitely overstays it's welcome! Interloper, in particular. I can only handle so many conveyor belts before even infinite gluon gun ammo begins to get boring. The last boss fight as well went on a bit too long as it's not particularly challenging or interesting so wears out the welcome pretty fast. The best of Xen was the beginning, checking out the alien terrain, seeing the remains of the science team structures.

I almost gave up on Xen too, it is beautiful but it was a chore to play, rushed through it cause I didn't want to abandon the game after playing for hours.

Interloper sucked at the factory part. And the gonarch is just terrible.
