[500-Ping Man]

Is the Lambda Core chapter done yet? I did the part with the rotating platforms, but instead of teleporting higher there, it dumped me in a room with two scientists and a guard. And the portal links back to the start of the puzzle.
In a walkthrough video it teleported the player to the next bit but not in my game. I'm really confused does anyone know what's happening?

Several of the portals on the piller lead to optional side rooms, the one leading to the next part of the level is at the top.

In that section you have to jump throught the correct portals. Each level has three portals, the correct ones are numbered 2, 4 and 7. Other portals lead to different areas, such as the one you encountered.

Yes, it has been finished since day one.
There is a clue, on a pizza box, the shows the correct numbered portals to go into.
Even w/out that clue you can easily figure it out by trial and error.

ok thanks guys, i guess i just didn't see there were 3 portals on every level due to lens flare or some bullsh1t like that

They put the portals combination writen on the ground in blood in a room, where you need to take the elevator near the entrance to the teleporter room to get to it.

In the original game a side room that overlooked the second half of the teleporter "puzzle" has a dead scientist that scrawled the teleporter order in blood on a nearby wall. It's the same way in Black Mesa, it's in a room directly next to the elevator shaft you need to climb up. The same scientist wrote it in blood on the ground. The teleporters are numbered on the walls next to them if you pay attention.

yeah i found that room. still think they should make the portals more distinguishable though.

having a ton of trouble with this level. I got the first portal numbered 2, but I just run straight into some pipes and die immediately

looks like you have to jump onto the railing and crouch jump onto the lower pipe. it's awful because the hl engine has really bad physics for moving objects but it works

You just have to find the right portals, and they are 2 4 7 to advance the game
