Report a translation problem
The one thing you're doing wrong is the wire organisation. The arrows on the panel show the direction of the power travelling through and the ceiling plug is the power source. The power source needs to go to the far left, that then points to the middle plug. Then plug the middle and right together. Since there's a shorter distance from the middle to the right, use the shorter wire for that and the longer wire for the ceiling to left.
For whatever reason it doesn't count when you use the shorter wire on the ceiling and far left, so make sure you're using the longer wire.
Seems like a bug.
Ran into this bug as well now. Trying to reload from an earlier save. Cannot plug the short cable to the socket on the right at all.
It does suck a bit!
