Hammer Compile Problems (vvis.exe error)
again.

Trying to compile the map gives me a popup saying that vvis.exe failed and that the code returned was 1.

upon running the map any new props i placed simply aren't there

Turning the props to dynamic instead of static seems to make them appear, at least thats what worked for me. However the props dont have collisions on after doing that... i think you can change that in the properties menu for the prop. But i dont know, hammer is just weird for this game and has completely discouraged me from making maps for it.

Your map has a leak! It says so right at the top of the VBSP log. That's why it doesn't make it to VVIS.

There's nothing to be sorry about, really. We've all started somewhere and got better as time moved on. So long as you keep an open mind about level design troubleshooting and don't act like some people I see in the SDK hub where they're never wrong it's the software and those who help who are apparently wrong, you'll be on the right path :)
