Stuck in the Interloper chapter Xen, potential bug

The door at 16:53 is closed for me, and there are no vortigaunts in my playthrough in that section either... How do I open that door? Is this a potential bug?

Ok, this was most likely a bug... I restarted my playthrough from the beginning of the interloper chapter and this time it was fine.

Your save might have been corrupted since you were able to continue upon restarting.

I have the same problem. I can't complete this game without the devs resetting my save file or a progress-breaking bug.

I'm exhausted of trying to like Black Mesa.

At 21:51 in the video BeerBaron provided, the elevator/lifter won't go high enough for a jump to the ledge. I've tried it over 100 times. I just don't have the heart to start this level over again. All this jumping BS has worn my patience down to a nub. I'm flipping Black Mesa "the bird" and moving on. I enjoyed most of it until I got to Xen.

Don't forget that there's an extra bulging sack under the one you just blew up. I got stuck on this and found the solution thanks to @MrTobyck on YouTube.
